Church of San Basilide

The church dedicated to San Basilide is located along the provincial road, opposite the main building of the former penal colony. It was built by the inmates themselves and dates back to the end of the 19th century.

The building is divided into panels, three of which are on the facade. It is covered by a double-pitched roof, with the lower ones molded and overhanging.

A wooden portal opens in the center, framed and lintelled, with a semicircular arched lunette and stained glass. At the entrance, there is a stained-glass window depicting the Saint with the cross, the symbol of his conversion.
